Built for Healthcare

Your front desk is your bottleneck.

We build patient portals, online scheduling, and intake automation for healthcare practices, on HIPAA-compliant architecture with encrypted storage and audit trails. The software integrates with Epic, Athena, or eClinicalWorks via HL7/FHIR, or runs standalone. We also design and build the practice's marketing site.

Why healthcare practices are drowning in admin

49.2%

of a physician's office day goes to EHR and desk work

The Annals of Internal Medicine time-motion study found doctors spend nearly half their day on documentation: almost two hours of it for every hour of direct patient care. (Annals of Internal Medicine (Sinsky et al., 2016) via PubMed, 2016)

18.8%

mean appointment no-show rate, at $196 per unused slot

A 12-year study across VA medical centers measured both the rate and the cost. Automated reminders and self-service rescheduling attack the problem from both ends. (BMC Health Services Research (Kheirkhah et al.), 2016)

80%

of patients want to self-schedule, but only 54% of providers offer it

Experian Health's 2025 survey measured the gap between what patients expect and what practice front desks deliver. The practices that close it win the patients who won't wait on hold. (Experian Health, 2025)

04What we build

Built for how healthcare actually works.

01

Patient Portals & Intake

Patients fill out forms, upload documents, and e-sign consent online, and the data flows into your EMR, so the front desk does less re-entry. We build condition-specific intake flows that branch on visit type, insurance status, and medical history. Form validation catches errors before submission, so staff never chase incomplete paperwork. We connect to Epic, Athena, or eClinicalWorks via HL7/FHIR, so data lands in the right fields automatically.

02

Scheduling & Reminders

Online booking, automated SMS and email reminders, and waitlist management that cut no-shows and fill gaps in the schedule. We build availability rules for each provider that account for appointment type, location, and equipment. Reminders go out by SMS and email at intervals you set, with one-tap links to confirm or reschedule. When a slot is canceled, the waitlist fills it and notifies the next patient in line.

03

Secure Messaging & Care Workflows

HIPAA-compliant messaging between patients and providers, with result notifications, care plan updates, and referral coordination automated. We build encrypted messaging threads tied to the patient record, with read receipts and staff routing. Workflows send notifications when lab results arrive, prescriptions are ready, or a follow-up appointment is due. Referral packets are generated and sent to specialists without anyone assembling them by hand.

Free healthcare audit

Want to know what your current setup is costing you?

The free audit checks your website the way your healthcare customers experience it (speed, mobile, accessibility, and search visibility) and puts what's worth fixing in writing. It's automated and free, and the report is specific about what it finds.

06What changes

How the machine removes each problem.

01

Less front desk phone time

Online scheduling, automated reminders, and a patient portal handle the calls your staff used to field manually all day.

02

Fewer no-shows

Automated SMS and email reminders, plus easy online rescheduling, dramatically cut missed appointments and revenue loss.

03

Time saved on every patient intake

Digital forms pre-populate your EMR, so nobody re-keys a clipboard or squints at handwriting in the waiting room.

04

Recovered annual revenue

Fewer no-shows, faster intake, and better patient throughput win back revenue that empty slots and slow check-ins cost a practice today.

Healthcare FAQs

Common Questions From Healthcare

Yes. We build with HIPAA-compliant architecture from the ground up: encrypted data at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, comprehensive audit logging, and BAA-ready infrastructure on AWS or GCP. We document every technical safeguard for your compliance officer and coordinate with your team during risk assessments. See our application development security approach.

We integrate with most modern EMRs including Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, and Allscripts via HL7, FHIR, or proprietary APIs. Intake data, appointment details, and clinical notes flow both ways, so staff never re-enter information. If your EMR doesn't have a modern API, we build secure import/export middleware to bridge the gap. See our application development approach.

Encrypted storage at rest using AES-256, TLS in transit, role-based access controls, and comprehensive audit trails that log every data access event. The infrastructure we build on (AWS and GCP) offers HIPAA-eligible services that support a Business Associate Agreement where your engagement requires one. We work directly with your compliance officer to document technical safeguards and participate in risk assessments before and after launch. See our application development security standards.

Yes. We design and develop healthcare sites on Next.js, built to rank for specialty and location keywords like "orthopedic surgeon in Kenwood" or "dermatology near me." Provider profiles, service pages with condition-specific content, and integrated scheduling are all included. Every site ships with structured schema markup and performance optimization from day one.

A focused intake + scheduling portal is typically 8 to 12 weeks. Full patient portals with secure messaging, results delivery, and deep EMR integration run 3 to 6 months. We deliver in two-week sprints, so your practice can start using digital intake and scheduling while messaging and clinical features are still being built. See our application development timeline.

Most healthcare portal projects range from $5,000 to $50,000 depending on EMR integrations, messaging features, and compliance requirements, and most land between $18,000 and $35,000. A focused intake and scheduling portal sits at the lower end, while a full platform with secure messaging, results delivery, and multi-location support runs higher. We scope in detail before quoting. See our application development services.

We build with React or Next.js on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, and PostgreSQL with encryption at rest for patient data. EMR integrations use HL7 FHIR or proprietary APIs depending on your system. We build on HIPAA-eligible cloud services that support a BAA where one is required. See our web development page for more.

We provide ongoing maintenance and support including security patches, EMR update compatibility, feature additions, and uptime monitoring. Healthcare software requires active maintenance for compliance and interoperability. It runs on a retainer: you put down a deposit, the work is billed against it at $150 an hour, and you get a monthly summary.

Yes. We build multi-tenant architectures that support multiple locations, specialties, and provider schedules within one platform. Each location can have its own intake forms and scheduling rules while sharing a single patient database. Reporting rolls up across the organization. See how we handle complex builds on our portfolio page.

HIPAA compliance is built into every layer: encrypted data at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, comprehensive audit logging, and BAA-ready infrastructure. We document technical safeguards for your compliance officer and can participate in risk assessments. Our development process includes security review at every milestone.
