01Where the hours go
The busywork has a pattern. So does the fix.
Most of what eats a week follows rules. Rule-following work is exactly what AI handles well, and the numbers on how fast the rest of the market is moving are not ours; they're cited.
88%
of organizations now use AI in at least one function(McKinsey, 2025)
Drowning in repetitive tasks
Data entry, FAQ replies, scheduling, status updates. Most of it follows rules, and rule-following work is exactly what AI handles. Meanwhile, nearly nine in ten companies already use AI somewhere in their business.
80%
of common service issues resolved by AI by 2029(Gartner, 2025)
Competitors moving faster
While you handle everything manually, competitors using AI respond to leads in seconds and scale without adding headcount. Gartner predicts agentic AI will resolve 80% of common customer service issues by 2029, cutting operational costs by 30%.
2x
the volume without 2x the headcount
Scaling means more headcount
Need to handle 2x the volume? That used to mean 2x the staff. AI changes that math, so your costs don't have to rise in step with volume.
24/7
always-on availability
24/7 coverage is impossible
Someone wants an answer at 2 AM, and prospects in other time zones need attention too. Your team can't be everywhere, but AI can.
02Built on Signal AI
The same platform runs our own business.
Signal AI is the intelligence layer we built to run Upforge: SEO, CRM, content, proposals, and reporting, with memory that carries between sessions. Your automations run on it, so they start on a platform that already does real work every day, with approval gates and an audit trail on every action it takes.
Echo, the assistant in the corner of this page, is Signal talking. Ask it what it would automate for you.
AI that does work you'd recognize from your own week.
Four kinds of build, twelve things they do. Every line names an outcome, not a capability.
Chat & phone
A chatbot that knows your business
It answers from your real pricing, services, and hours, even at 11pm on a Sunday, and books the call instead of taking a message.
Answers from your real prices and services
Books the appointment, doesn't promise a callback
Hands off to a person when it should
AI that answers the phone
A voice agent picks up when your team can't, gets the details right, and puts the job on the calendar before the caller hangs up.
Picks up every call, first ring
Gets the address and the job right
Every call written up and searchable
Website chat that captures leads
Chat on your site asks the same qualifying questions you would, then drops the lead straight into your CRM instead of a shared inbox.
Asks your qualifying questions
Lands in your CRM, not an inbox
Follows up when someone goes quiet
Automation
Paperwork that fills itself in
Invoices, contracts, forms, and emailed PDFs get read automatically, and the numbers land where they belong instead of being retyped.
Reads invoices, contracts, and forms
Numbers go straight into your system
Flags anything that looks wrong
An inbox that sorts itself
AI reads what comes in, works out what it's about and how urgent it is, and has a reply drafted before you open it.
Sorts and prioritizes as mail lands
Drafts replies in your voice
Escalates what can't wait
Follow-up that never forgets
Quotes, reviews, renewals, and cold leads get the nudge at the right time, in your voice, without anyone keeping a list.
Sends the follow-up on schedule
Stops the moment they reply
Every touch logged in your CRM
Insights
A dashboard that flags what changed
Instead of a wall of charts, you get the two or three things that moved this week, and what to do about each one.
Tells you what changed since last week
Ask it questions in plain English
Alerts you when a number goes sideways
Forecasting built on your numbers
Demand, staffing, and inventory projected from your own history instead of an industry average that doesn't know your busy season.
Built on your history, not a benchmark
Plans around your busy season
Test a scenario before you commit
Catch problems before they cost you
Fraud, a machine about to fail, a customer about to leave: it spots the patterns your team would only notice after the money's gone.
Watches for the pattern in real time
Tells the right person immediately
Shows its work so you can check it
Content
Content in your actual voice
Blog posts, service pages, and product descriptions written the way your business actually talks, so none of it reads like AI filler.
Trained on how you actually write
Built for search from the first draft
You edit and approve before it publishes
Long documents, one paragraph
Contracts, reports, and research cut down to the part you need to make the decision, with a pointer back to the source line.
Pulls out the parts that matter
Points back to where it found them
Handles a whole stack at once
An assistant for your team
Internal AI trained on your own docs, policies, and procedures, so nobody has to ask the same question in Slack for the fifth time.
Answers from your own documents
Shows each person only what they should see
Every answer logged
04MCP servers
Your business, ready for AI agents. On your terms.
Customers are starting to ask AI assistants to find a business and book it for them, and your team is starting to work through one. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard those assistants use to connect to outside systems. An MCP server is the connector on your side: it lets an assistant look up what you allow and do what you approve, and nothing else.
A public server on your website
AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude can answer questions about your business from your own data, check your availability, and book a call, instead of scraping a page and guessing.
upforge.io runs one: 18 tools, from our pricing to booking a call with us.
A private connector for your team
Your team's own AI assistant can pull a report, look up a customer, or draft a follow-up from your real systems. You decide what it does on its own, what needs a person's sign-off, and what it can't do at all.
Sonor, the platform we built, adds a company's AI assistant as a team member with its own scoped access. What it proposes is logged, and it can't approve its own outbound work.
The software you already run, made agent-ready
Already have a CRM, a scheduling system, or an internal database? We wrap it in a few narrow, clearly described tools, so any assistant that speaks MCP can use it without a custom integration for each one.
For a lawn care client, we built a private connector that sends invoices and re-plans routes from an AI assistant. Sends default to a dry run, and there are no delete tools at all.
How we build them
Every agent gets a badge.
Every agent gets its own identityEach connection is named, never a shared key, so you can always tell which assistant did what.
Looking and doing are separateReading your data never changes it. Actions are their own tools, each with its own rules and limits.
You choose what needs a personMessages to customers and anything involving money default to a dry run or an approval. Some actions simply don't exist, like deleting records.
Everything is on the recordActions tie back to the agent that took them and, where there is one, the person who approved them.

06How we build it
From audit to automation in about six weeks.
Give the system a clear job: the trigger, the work it can do, and the point where a person needs to decide. Then test those boundaries alongside the happy path. That's the whole method.
01Heat
Discovery & AI audit
Week one. We study your workflows, data sources, and bottlenecks to find where AI will make the biggest difference, and where a person still needs to decide.
You leave with: Workflow documentation, a data inventory, an AI opportunity map, and ROI projections.
02Shape
Architecture & build
Weeks two to five. We design around your security requirements and the systems it has to connect to, then build and train the AI on your actual data, processes, and business rules.
You leave with: Solution architecture, the integrations, a populated knowledge base, and working agents.
03Temper
Test it against real work
Week six. Tempering is about strength in use, so we test the boundaries alongside the happy path: what it should refuse, when it hands off to a person, and how it fails safely.
You leave with: A tested build, approval gates in place, and a launch checklist.
04Finish
Deploy, train, and keep improving
We deploy securely to your environment, train your team, and hand over the documentation. Then we keep improving it based on how it's used, what your team tells us, and how the business changes.
You leave with: A live automation, team training, monitoring, and quarterly reviews.
07Proof
Real builds. One of them is running on this page.
Every study here is a real build, every quote is verbatim from a verified review, and the third one you can try right now.

Before
Bids, follow-ups, and invoices lived in the owner's inbox. Quoting ate evenings, invoices went out late, and every busy week made the backlog worse.
What we built
A custom bidding and invoicing system with AI-assisted quotes and follow-ups, built around how their crews actually run a day, not how software vendors imagine it.
AI-assisted quotes go out the same day instead of after hours
Invoices generate and send with AI help, so billing stops slipping
Hours of admin recovered every week, in the owner's own words
“The custom bidding and invoicing software they set up has been the biggest game changer. … It has saved us hours every week and made us look more professional with customers.”

Questions
Everything you need to know about AI & automation
Four kinds of work, broadly. There's chat and phone: assistants that answer from your real pricing and hours, book the appointment, and hand off to a person when they should. There's automation, which covers the paperwork, the inbox, and the follow-up that currently depends on somebody remembering. There's insight: dashboards that tell you what changed this week, and forecasting built on your own history rather than an industry average. And there's content, from writing in your voice to an internal assistant trained on your own documents. All of it gets built around the systems you already run. We don't ask you to move to ours.
A single chatbot or automation starts at $3,000. Most clients land on our Professional tier at $7,000, which covers multiple agents and CRM and calendar integrations. Hosting is a monthly cost, and ongoing support and optimization run on a retainer billed at $150 an hour. Full-scale AI infrastructure for a larger organization starts at $25,000 and scales with scope. Those are real starting numbers, and you'll get a fixed price once we understand what you're actually trying to automate.
Yes. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude use to connect to outside systems, and an MCP server is the connector on your side. We build public ones that let assistants answer questions about your business and book a call, and private ones that let your team's assistant work with your real systems. Every agent gets its own identity, reading is kept separate from acting, and messages to customers or anything involving money default to a dry run or a person's approval. upforge.io runs one you can try, and our plain-English guide at upforge.io/resources/mcp-servers explains how they work.
Our production systems run on OpenAI models today. Everything we build is model-agnostic, so the same architecture can route to Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, or open-source models when a use case calls for it on cost, privacy, or speed. We pick the model per task rather than per project, so high-volume routine work runs on cheaper models while judgment-heavy work gets a frontier model. You'll always know which providers touch your data.
Yes, and it'll do a lot more than answer FAQs. It reads your knowledge base and documentation in real time, so it answers from your actual pricing and services instead of guessing. It connects to your CRM, so the conversation is personalized and the lead lands somewhere you'll actually see it. It books appointments, qualifies leads, takes orders and payments where that makes sense, and escalates to a human the moment a question needs one. It runs around the clock, in multiple languages. How much of your inbound it can take off your team depends on how repetitive that inbound is, and we'll give you an honest read on that before you commit.
It depends on what you're building. A single chatbot or content tool takes two to four weeks. A custom assistant wired into your backend takes four to eight. A full automation system spanning several workflows runs eight to sixteen weeks, and a large enterprise build can take three to six months. We work in short cycles with regular demos, so you'll see something running inside the first two weeks, and you can start using the early pieces while we build the rest.
We design every build around data security from the start. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based, and every autonomous action is logged with an audit trail and approval gates. We don't train models on your proprietary data, and we scope AI access per project so one client's data never touches another's. For sensitive workflows we'll walk you through exactly where your data goes and which providers touch it before anything ships.
Traditional automation follows fixed rules ("if this, then that"). AI integration adds judgment on top: it reads context, makes decisions, handles exceptions, and improves over time. For example, traditional automation routes emails by keyword, while AI reads intent, sentiment, and urgency and routes them accordingly. We often combine both, with plain automation for predictable tasks and AI for the complex decisions that used to need a person.
Usually, yes, though we'd rather show you where than hand you a percentage. The savings come from a familiar set of places: support questions answered without pulling someone off other work, content that takes an hour instead of a day, data entry that stops happening, scheduling that stops leaking time, and equipment problems caught before they become downtime. Gartner projects that agentic AI will resolve 80% of common customer service issues and cut operational costs 30% by 2029, which tells you the direction of travel. What it's worth in your business depends on your volumes, so we start with a cost-benefit analysis on your actual numbers before you commit to anything.
Yes, and AI needs it. Models get retired, APIs change, and a prompt that worked beautifully in March can quietly drift by September. Maintenance runs on a retainer. A retainer is a deposit you pay up front. We bill against it at $150 an hour whenever we touch your project, for any reason, and send you a monthly report on what we did. That work covers performance monitoring, prompt tuning as models evolve, integration fixes when a vendor changes something underneath you, and retraining as your business data grows. You also get regular performance reviews and a quarterly session to look at what's worth automating next, now that the first thing is running.
That's most of what we do. You don't want a standalone AI tool sitting awkwardly beside everything else you run. We've connected AI to CRMs like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zoho, to ERPs like SAP, NetSuite, and Dynamics, to Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento, and to plenty of custom web apps, databases, and internal tools. Anything with an API is straightforward. When there's no API (and with older systems there often isn't), we build a connector or automate the interface directly. Tell us what you're running and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a two-week job or a real project.
Two ways to start, both free. Send what you want to automate and we'll reply with a real plan, or grab a time and map it out with an engineer. There's no pressure and no sales script.
